First Impression of Bluespoon AX2 BT Headset

After a glowing review of the Bluespoon AX2 by our own Adam Z Lein, it was clear what my next BT heaset would be.
I made the purchase on eBay for around $60 shipped, which I thought to be a decent deal considering that just a few months ago the AX2 was around the $80-90 mark.
My thoughts? Well, having lost it already a few times because of its size and dark color, I wish that Nextlink would devise an easier way to carry the device, such as a belt clip or other means. It comes with a necklace that you can plug into the USB port of the headset, but who wears a headset around their neck? I plan on attempting to convert the lanyard into some kind of belt loop.
Also, how about a choice of colors? Something bright would assist when you’ve dropped the headset on to the black floor mat of your car.
Battery life is terrific – the claimed 500-1500 hours of standby and 8 hours of talk time is legit. The audio quality is also great, probably because of its in-ear, sound isolating design. I think overall I still prefer an over-the-ear headset, because shoving a rubber object into my ear canal is never appealing; that said, I’ve found the headset to be comfortable for moderate amounts of time.
