INTRODUCED: Microsoft officially released the Windows Media Player 11 public Beta
As expected, today Microsoft indeed released its new Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP systems as a free public Beta.
The new Media Player should be a ground breaking development for Microsoft to better compete with Apple’s iTunes player since it also includes - by default - Microsoft’s partnership music store URGE, which is maintained by MTV.

While the size of the installation file nearly doubled (23,449 KB vs. 11,638 KB) the new Media Player provides simplicity in design, which brings a whole new look to your digital entertainment plus a not counted amount of new features.
I hadn’t had the time so far to download and install it but will do soon, especially because I want to test the improved mobile devices related feature-improvements.
