AKU (adaptive Kit Update) for WM5, giving you a clue what capabilities you have on your Windows Mobile Device. It is useful to know that your current device can do.

Below are some highlight of each version:

AKU 1.1 contains the Car Bluetooth additions so the device will transfer phonebook and other items to  your incar Bluetooth kit.

AKU 2.0 contains the Messaging and Security Feature pack for Direct Push email. Additional Bluetooth profiles (A2DP, HF/HS, etc..)

The team over at Channel 9 have released a list of the Build Numbers and what AKU they correlate to.

Actually it´s even easier to figure it out if you just go to Start…Settings..then About

If you look at the Build number it´s made up as follows

xxxxx.a.b.c

for example 14847.2.0.0

The xxxxx is the build number

The a.b.c is the AKU version so my device has AKU 2.0
