“NETGEAR’s WiFi Phone for Skype (SPH101) is the world’s first wireless Internet phone that can make free calls to other Skype users anywhere in the world, (Free in USA, Canada) anytime you have WiFi access, without a PC. All of your contacts are shown right on the phone’s color display so you will know exactly who is online. You can even make calls to ordinary phones using Skype-Out for just pennies a minute and no monthly fees. NETGEAR’s WiFi Phone is Skype Certified, so you can rest assured that it meets the high quality standards of both NETGEAR and Skype.”

Netgrear is selling (Pre-order) their WiFi VoIP phone for $299:

Linksys on Wednesday also announced the first of its wireless VoIP phones to work over an 802.11g network. The company says that it plans to introduce more phones in the coming months with the capability that would help spur the burgeoning VoIP industry. Priced $260-$370

I am wondering why you would need these way too expensive phones. My Axim X50v can do all that and much more for less. I am using Skype over WiFi and use my BT headset..The whole combo works like a charme.

In case you don’t need wireless capability, and just want to have a convenience of having a phone next to your PC. Try these very inexpensive but yet stylish phones from Ipevo.
