- New Skype Toolbars

Skype just released some new toolbars will allow the Skype user to easily start a voice call in three areas: e-mail, MS Office, and the Web using IE or FireFox.

Things you can do with Skype Email Toolbar

• Call Skype Names and phone numbers written in emails
• See when your contacts are online
• Start instant messaging in follow up to emails
• Add a Skype Button to your email signature, so other people can just click to call you

Things you can do with Skype Office Toolbar

• Start calls to Skype Names and phone numbers written within MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
• See when the author of a document is online and communicate with them.
• Send the file you are currently working on to Skype Contacts.
• Turn phone numbers into links within your document.

Things you can do with Skype Web (Firefox/IE) Toolbar

• recognises phone numbers and Skype Names on webpages, so that you can call with one click, through Skype.
• local search partners will help you find the person or business you’re looking for.
• You can also search eBay listings or find things on the web.
