Cingular just posted two new smartphones on their website and their names are super catchy, the 8500 and the 8525. They look to be updates of the 8100 and 8125.

The Cingular 8500 and 8525 are high-speed UMTS/HSDPA devices that uses the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform. The phones have a 2.8″ screen, QWERTY, wi-fi, Bluetooth and are claimed to be highly functional for web browsing with their “enhanced” xHTML and wCSS support.
The 8525 has a 2 Mega Pixel Camera with Fix Lens/Camcorder and Flash. The 8500 has no camera.
The devices are expected to be released officialy by the end of the year.

Thanks Solsie … I found the mobility today stuff earlier, but the passworded site I was hoping someone had mirrored.

Ah well. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see when it hits the market. That and the Treo, me and my eternal fence sitting.

Netsyd: I believe the release date is within 4Q time frame!
