Cingular Offers GPS service to Subcribers

Cingular just started offering : TeleNav Inc.’s TeleNav GPS Navigator, which provides “turn-by-turn” voice and on-screen GPS directions customers. This service does not require maps to be stored on the device. Instead the routing information is exchanged over the cellular network

TeleNav GPS Navigator also provides extensive information over 10 million points of interest (POI) and additional search tools.

It can be used with the old iPAQ hw6500 series models , as well as the new iPAQ hw6900 models that will debut next week. It is also supported by the Cingular 8125 Pocket PC and the Palm Treo 650, with optional external Bluetooth GPS receiver. Available HERE!

TeleNav subscriptions range from $5.99 per month for up to 10 trips or $9.99 a month for unlimited trips.
