As you know, you can create playlist from your PC with WMP and copy to your WM device but there is no built-in tool to create them directly on your WM device.
We already posted tools to create playlist (.asx) for your media player from the simple PlaylistEditor to the feature-rich PlaylistMgr (with Podcast management) . A new Playlist Manager is available from Gadget Apps, The only difference is this app offers Smartphone interface.
The GadgetApps Playlist Manager will allow you to:-
1. Create
2. Edit the contents of
3. Delete
4. Rename
Windows Media Player 10 & 11 format playlists (.asx files) directly on your Pocket PC or Smartphone.

Actually, there is another free playlist editor application which was developed by Greatbal. It’s also another playlist editor which works for both Smartphone and PPC.
Anyway, from what I heard, playlist management may be brought back to WMP in AKU3. So, it will be like those “good old days” and there won’t be much reliance on 3rd party playlist editors in future.
Btw, PlaylistMgr v0.6 has just been released.
