Quick Tip to GMail Users
If you have to give your email address to any website (e.g. Amazon.com – just use Amazon as an example!). In order to track how your email will be used by this website, use this quick tip:
If your email is: John@gmail.com; use: John+amazon@gmail.com
You can still receive the email as usual, but anytime you receive email from another senders using John+amazon@gmail.com; you would know who exploit your email!










True, but some websites don’t recognize the + symbol as an acceptable character in an email address.
I’d love to see GMail offer something similar to YahooMail, allowing users to create an extra email from the gmail application itself.
Scott, I have tried, most of them accept “+”…
