WeatherPanel
I have been WeatherPanel user for a very long time. As you know, WeatherPanel is a program made and commercialized by Marsware. The developer has been missing for about a year. If you do not currently own WeatherPanel you may want to look at other options such as PocketWeather. The Marsware user forum has been abandoned and has been taken over entirely by spammers
WP has a large skinner community, which still perpetuates WP with wonderful skins include new square screen support. You can find the new location maintained 100 by WP user community HERE!

I have been a WP user for several years. It is unfortunate that Martian has disappeared and the original forums and wiki are unusable due to spammers. However, the program still works great and the customizability is unmatched by any other weather program. The caliber of skins created by generous people out there show the potential of this product.
I absolutely love WeatherPanel and will continue to use it until it no longer works. I personally use the Finis2 QVGA theme/skin inside a PocketBreeze tab.

Hi Scott, it sounds we have the same thoughts on WP!
Is the free version still available anywhere?
WP’s never been a free version!
You can have the Weather To Go freeware instead:

I love the theme given here at the top. But the wind directions are reversed. It says “winds out of the east” on my phone after installing this theme (and updating) but the winds are in fact coming out of the west. However, the grapical wind directional compass is correct.
You can just delete the above comment if you wish, obviously I did some more research and found that the compass doesn’t point in the direction of the wind but rather points at the force of the wind. Generally the wind blows from west to east here, but of course not always, and apparently not today either.
Everything is simple. Once you know it.
