Meebo: Web-based Instant Messaging

6 November, 2006 Posted by As Windows Mobile (0) Comment

My daughter installed on one of my PC, AIM (AOL/IM), I realized how pervasive AIM is…AOL almost grabs everything on the PC from pop-ups to home page, no matter how I want to get rid of AOL annoyance, it just keeps coming back And I still want my daughter to have way to contact her friends…I went to the Web and found this site meebo.com, which allows to use the popular IM right on your browser, therefore no IM client needed.

I had my daughter tested it and it passed with flying color!

meebo.com is a website for instant messaging from absolutely anywhere. Whether you’re at home, on campus, at work, or traveling foreign lands, hop over to meebo.com on any computer to access all of your buddies (on AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ and Jabber) and chat with them, no downloads or installs required, for free!

meebo launched in September 2005 and received funding from Sequoia Capital in December 2005. Today, our users exchange over 60 million instant messages daily. We (the meebo team) are just a fun bunch of people trying to bring IM to the web! Click below to find out more…
