Microsoft Live on Sprint Soon!

Microsoft and Sprint are announcing that they’ve come to a strategic partnership to roll out a suite of mobile services using Sprint’s infrastructure and Microsoft’s application platform.

According to the news, the first application will be based upon Windows Live Mobile Search with localization, another application will also deliver directions  (w/turn by turn voice directions), maps, and geographically targeted advertising they claim will be relevant.

Future plans include rolling out Exchange Hosted Services, more robust security for mobile devices and ultimately a portfolio of “rich and seamless information experiences for Sprint customers [via] a service aggregation enabled through Microsofts’s Connected Services Framework”.
