My Axim X51v/ Microsoft BT A2DP Solution
Since Axim is available with WM5, Dell switched the Bluetooth stack from Widcomm to Microsoft along with AKU 2.x WM5 (on X51). There are hacks to install the Widcomm stack back and hacks to instate the A2DP (BT Stereo streaming) on the MS stack.
I have tried the Widcomm hack, which works well, but it takes about 8MB in RAM. I noticed my Axim is more stable with the MS stack, on which I installed the hack to add A2DP. However until now, when I use all my BT stereo headsets, the audio never worked correctly due to unbearable skips. Therefore, I have been using the BT dongle that often comes with the headsets to stream audio from my Axim

This is the case with all AKU2+ Microsoft BT stacks I’ve tested the Plantronics 590 against; for example, that of the AKU2 HTC Universal and the Dell Axim x51v with the A12 ROM upgrade….
