Orb aims to beat YouTube at wireless Web video

Orb Networks plans to offer Web videos from YouTube on mobile phones with a new software launch this week, well before the wildly popular Web site makes its own cell phone service available.

Orb Networks reached the next level of customization and enabling mobility by enhancing Orb MyCast to playback (or better stream) YouTube, Google and Dailymotion videos on mobile devices like mobile phones and PDAs. While YouTube has the mobile enhancement on its agenda for next year or so, Orb users can start right now and it couldn’t be easier.”
