MobiControl v3.06 Released

SOTI has just released MobiControl v3.06.

New Features:

• File Synchronization - Files can now be synchronized between servers and mobile devices. Move new/updated data files from servers to devices and/or move device data up to servers.
• Filters - Create custom filters to view devices that satisfy specific criteria (e.g. connect time, disconnect time, IP address range, etc.). Filters can be saved and accessed by simply clicking on the filter tab/button.
• Platform Support - Support for Windows Mobile 5 as well as support for the Windows Desktop Operating Systems has been added (i.e. Windows XP/Windows 2000). This means that you can now use MobiControl to manage computers and devices running any Microsoft Operating System.
• User Interface - Redesigned MobiControl Manager user interface allowing flexible dashboard style layout of controls in each view (Devices, Packages, Rules, Deployment Servers, Reports). As well as new visual indicators (e.g. battery and memory) have been added.
• Logging - Improved Log Views allowing users to specify number of events to be displayed, as well as display both real time and historical activities.
• Execution Charts - New 3-D deployment rule execution charts provide visual indicators of the progress of deployments.
• Deployment Server Priorities - Configure deployment server connection priorities, configure primary, secondary, and/or backup servers.
• Time Synchronization - Synchronize mobile device clock to either the MobiControl deployment server or using SNTP public/private servers.
• Scripting - Enhancements to scripting language, as well as scripting commands. Scripts can be used to control package installation, as well as to automate tasks.
• Device Configuration Applet - The MobiControl device side configuration applet has been greatly enhanced. New tabs have been added like real time activity tracking, status information, package information etc.
• Lockdown - The lockdown functionality has been enhanced to allow more control over disabling hardware buttons as well as new options have been added so that MobiControl device applet pages can be linked to the HTML menu lockdown pages.
• Remote Control - Enhancements have been made to all areas of remote control, the file explorer now allows browsing of network computers as well as drag and drop functionality, battery and memory status indicators have been enhanced, the entire remote control user interface has also been updated.
• Diagnostics - The device imaging and differencing tools have been enhanced, as well as features have been added to easily correct detected problems.
• Performance - The overall performance of the product has been significantly increased, especially when dealing with large numbers of devices.
• Rule Editing - Flexibile creation and editing of rules. Add Device, Deployment, and File Synchronization Rules can now be edited and adjusted after they have been created.
• Custom Device Properties - The properties of a device that are displayed when the user clicks on a device icon in the device tree can now be customized. Custom properties from the device registry, INI files, and/or by running a program can be retrieved from the mobile device and displayed in the MobiControl Management console.
• Report Export - Reports can now be exported to HTML, PDF, RTF or TXT files
