Samsung i760 discrepancy

Update Jan 7, 2007: New picture just popped up

As we posted about Verizon will carry the Samsung SGH-i760 along with 2 other new phones. We are a little intrigued about the different looks and specs between the GSM version i760 shown below (and more pictures here) and the slide showing the CDMA version that Verizon shows here. It seems to us, these are 2 different devices of what Samsung calls i760?

 

Samsung is turning out to be a big and worthy competitor for HTC. Samsung is coming out with top class products like the Samsung i600, Blackjack, etc… The yet to be released Samsung SGH-i760 joins the league of great Windows Mobile phones made available this year. Mobilemania.sk has posted bunch of high quality photographs of the i760. The specifications of this Pocket PC phone is as below:

Specs (as we know)

• Intel Xscale 520 MHz
• Slide-out QWERTY package
• UMTS with HSDPA (Verizon CDMA 1x EV-DO)
• Video calling with front camera
• 2 Megapixel cam (1.3 MP for Verizon)
• Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone Edition (WM6 Crossbow in the Verizon 2Q delivery)
