SBSH’s PocketBreeze 5.2 Beta-1 Released

SBSH Mobile Software just released a public beta of PocketBreeze 5.2, and it has some great new features! Fourof the features that are the most eye-catching:

• The Contacts tab is now a part of PocketBreeze! You don’t need ContactBreeze in order to have your contacts as a tab in PocketBreeze, and therefore the next step for SBSH is to work on the new features for ContactBreeze (more info below).
• Also you can see the pictures of your contacts on the screen, to the left of your contact names (screenshot a little down below)!
• The Options structure has been completely redesigned! It fully supports all screen resolutions (portrait, landscape, square; VGA and QVGA). (Screenshot on the right)
• You now have the ability to remove the lines surrounding the tabs. This is set in the skinfile, so unexperienced users don’t have to get confused by this. However, skinners now have much more freedom. In the hours after the release of PB 5.2 beta, some skins will be made available (one by Mickesjo, one by Buzzard, and two by me) so be sure to check the PocketBreeze resources forum if you’re interested. Other random improvements:

• You can now set any of the built-in tabs as ‘default tab’. PocketBreeze can automatically snap back to that tab after a certain amount of time, or show this tab at startup.
• You can tap the reminder icon to change the reminder time or totally disable the reminder.
• You can tap the link icon to open the links screen if you have a PIM that supports linked items. 
• You can now assign icons to your appointments and tasks. This was already possible with Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion, but now PocketBreeze can do it too. Even with the default PIM! 
• You can now export your setting to any location you want (your storage card, for example) instead of just to /My Documents/.
• In addition to the Calendar and Tasks tab, you can now also have your Messages (!!), Contacts, Notes and Special Events tabs in Folded state by default.
• Improved the way how you can pick the month and year on the monthly popup calendar.
• And much more improvements and fixes!

Remember that it is a beta, and not the final PB 5.2. Even though there was a lot of testing and the new beta should be very stable, it’s still a beta version and there can be bugs.
This new beta is free for registered PocketBreeze users who are using PB 5.x at the moment. The new ContactBreeze will also be free to users who already use ContactBreeze at the moment, even though it is a major version upgrade. Nothing is known about the features of the new ContactBreeze yet, just that there is a new developer (Igor) working on it, so there is more man-power behind the development now!
