Announced today at Macworld (eclipsed by the iPhone) is the The Apple TV (formely known as iTV) is computer that connects to your home TV system. You can watch movies that your purchased from the iTunes music store, as well as other multimedia content from your computer.

iTunes on your computer (PC or Mac) can be sync’ed to the Apple TV. Files are streamed over for viewing on your wide screen display. The Apple TV sports 40GB HDD and Intel processor.

Interfaces include HDMI, Component video, optical audio, and analog RCA stereo audio. The device is now available for pre order at the Apple website. It will begin shipping in February for $199.
