AT&T wrapped up its acquisition of BellSouth few days ago, we did not get any announcement about the future destiny of Cingular brand until now. (BellSouth was its major partner in the Cingular venture). While the specific name isn’t mentioned. It could revert to AT&T Wireless. But we found new a statement from AT&T that confirms the rebranding.
“In the coming days, AT&T will launch extensive new advertising, which will begin the transition of the BellSouth brand name to AT&T. AT&T will re-brand Cingular through a co-branded transition, which is scheduled to start in 2007.”
