Emoze – Easy Push Email

We posted back in April 2006  bout Emoze, a free utility that allows push email to your mobile device. The setup is simple and does not rely on your corporate IT. What do you need is a client running on your PC (work or home) and another client running on your Mobile device. Your email, contact, calendar will be pulled from your PC to Emoze server, which will push to your mobile device. The data stays in an encrypted format from your PC to your mobile device.

I just gave it a try, and I can say, the process is straight forward and simple. Emoze supports wide range of email including Web-based mails and wide range of mobile devices.

The concept is similar to the old Visto, a couple years back. And you can see, Emoze is useful when you rely heavily on your PC, and your email client such Outlook. Your PC needs to be on so the client can forward to Emoze. I see this is useful for corporate environment where your work PC is in your office and you can feel free, step outside while you still can receive and answer your email.

For personal use, the Exchange hosting is a better solution, since it does not require your PC and you can sync among several devices.

Features:

  • Push Email & PIM with full synchronization
  • Email Attachments Handling on demand
  • Meeting Requests Management
  • Conflict Resolution, Deletion policy & Automatic Cleanup
  • Multiple Connection Modes (Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, etc.)
  • Works seamlessly with firewalls and proxy servers
  • Enhanced Data Compression for saving on bandwidth costs
  • Strong Encrypted Delivery without intermediate storage
