Portable Network Attached Storage: Seagate D.A.V.E.

Seagate introduces Digital Audio Video Experience (or D.A.V.E) technology. What is DAVE? It’s a portable device that houses 10/20GB of storage and other devices (Phone, PDA) connect to it through USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi wireless connections.

Contents such Music. Videos. Photos or files can be streamed to a nearby cell phone, or a laptop, or a desktop computer. There’s a software API on the device so software developers can write programs that use DAVE.

I really like the idea of separation of your personal contents from the hardware device, which gives us more freedom to change phone, PDA, etc..without effecting our contents.

BTW, Head over to our Forums (multimedia section), we have plenty of downloadable videos, music videos formatted  for you!
