Business Traveler Tip: Work Smarter – Bring your old Camera
I often forgot to bring a camera with me, especially for short business trips. But In my last business meetings, I found bringing a small compact old camera is indeed a very productive tool – Cellphone with at least 2mega pixel could do the job too.
Here is how to turn your compact camera to productive tool:
- You often get lots of business cards during your meeting, input them all in your online address book is a major chore. With your compact camera, it is a much easier task: when you get back to your hotel room; just take picture of them one by one
E-mail: E-mail your photos to bc@scanR.comMMS: Send from your phone to bc@scanR.com
Mobile: Upload from your phone with scanR Mobile
You will get a reply back with link to get .vcf files or export directly to Outlook or other PIMs. Just click on them, your address book will be updated with these new contacts. (painless right?)
- When you participate in meeting where there might be lots of whiteboard actions, why not snap a picture of them! You can read later as well as sharing to your colleagues or participants
- Of course, when you are not in the meeting, why not snapping few pictures to send to your kids to show where you are. You can also use FolderShare, if you are in a nice location. As soon as you save these pictures on your laptop, automatically FolderShare syncs with your home PC.
