This version makes use of the latest features of .NET CF to give you the highest performance. With this version you can be confident your GPS logged coordinates for the networks you find are highly accurate, and can rely on a smooth user interface experience.
There is a PC msi installer which will install WiFiFoFum and the Compact Framework 2.0 into your ActiveSync so you can install and uninstall from your device as you please. Alternatively you can use the CAB version of WiFiFoFum which you can install directly on your device, however you will need to make sure you also have CF 2.0 installed aswell.

I refuse to use any program that uses the .Net Compact Framework. That thing is a memory hog and even if you install it to an SD card, if you swap out SD card alot (like I do), then the program is useless. Skilled programmers can write without .Net Compact Framework.

Free is . . . well, free! And this is one program I’m very glad to have. I’m also grateful to have an Axim X51v with a CF card in addition to the SD card. Because Henry is right about the framework–but with an Axim it doesn’t matter (and the Axim has such a poor outtathebox wifi setup so you made my morning!)
I agree somewhat with Henry, however, this little software is the one that lets me break my rule of not install .NET Compact Framework. It’s a good program.
