Motorola Q "Extended" Family

Follow on to the popular Verizon’s Motorola Q-CDMA, Motorola just announced 2 new members of the “Q” family. This time they are both in GSM land.

Motorola Q gsm

Similar to the CDMA cousin, this Motorola Q will be a GSM device with support for the 2.5G/EDGE. The Q gsm will be introduced during the second half of 2007.

Motorola Q q9

The q9 will be the first in this series with support for the 3G cellular-wireless networking standard HSDPA.

Beside the curving keyboard and significantly larger, you will notice the oval D-pad will be changed to a rounded shape.

This smartphone includes a microSD card slot and 256 MB of built-in memory. The Motorola Q q9 will be released during the second quarter of this year.
