Sony New Phones Unveiled at 3GSM
Sony Ericsson has unveiled eight new mobile phones and a range of accessories for the 3GSM trade show. The new phones include two music handsets, two Cybershot cameraphones and four simpler candybar handsets, while accessories include a HSDPA data card and a phone docking station for music playback and charging.
The 9.4-mm thin W880/W888 is a UMTS phone with 2.0 megapixel camera, Walkman 2.0 player, video telephony and video recording and playback, and comes with a 1GB memory stick. The phone will be available in select markets from Q1. - The W610 Walkman phone is an EDGE handset shipped with a 512 MB memory stick, and includes track identification, a 2 megapixel camera and push e-mail. The W610 will ship from Q2. Sony Ericsson also came with four simpler, candybar phones. The K200 is a GPRS cameraphone, available from Q2 in black or champagne, and the K220 is a GPRS handset with camera and FM radio, available from Q2 in blue or white.
- The J110 GSM handset offers simple navigation and up to nine hours talk time, available from Q2 in purple, grey or cream,
- The J120 adds a FM radio to that and comes in black from Q2.
- Finally in the CyberShot range, the company has the compact K550i EDGE handset with 2.0 megapixel camera with autofocus, set up for photo blogging and including 64 MB internal memory plus a card slot.
- The K810i is another CyberShot UMTS handset with 3.0 megapixel camera and Xenon flash, which comes with a 128 MB memory stick. The K550i ships from Q1 and the K810i is available from Q2.
