Dell has no final word on Mobile Device yet

We posted on SolSie.com, rumors about Dell is working on a mobile device codenamed “Fly” was flying around. Today there is strong evidence emerges that Dell will release a smartphone this fall. The new device might or might not carry the “Axim” name.

DigiTimes is confirming that Quanta is putting together a Windows Mobile device that will be released under the Dell brand.

Development is supposedly underway, the device is expected to run Windows Mobile 6 Professional (PocketPC Phone edition) and support the 3G cellular wireless networking standard HSDPA. An integrated keyboard is also a possibility.

The release of Dell’s first smartphone will reportedly come sometime during the last three months of this year
