Emoze Offers Free Push Email without PC
We posted back in April 2006 about Emoze, a free utility that allows push email to your mobile device. The setup is simple and does not rely on your corporate IT. What do you need is a client running on your PC (work or home) and another client running on your Mobile device. Your email, contact, calendar will be pulled from your PC to Emoze server, which will push to your mobile device. The data stays in an encrypted format from your PC to your mobile device.
From today, Emoze has taken the PC out of the requirement and launched a free service that allows users of smartphones to receive push email, as well as sync calendars, tasks, and contacts.
The process for using the central server is straight forward. When downloading emoze, users are given a choice of using their own PC as a connector or the central server. If the user chooses the central server, they will have to install the emoze mobile client and will then be prompted to provide details on their email account which are encrypted and stored locally on their own mobile device.
Emoze supports Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and OWA (Outlook Web Access), POP3, Gmail, HotMail, and Yahoo!.
Emoze supports Symbian and Windows Mobile only.

Well this is not push email.
Push would be if email was pushed from sender to recipient all way.
Same as some TV providers claiming they offer digital TV offer but then it turns out that signal from STB to TV set is analog
I’ve tried setup Emoze but there’s no option for central server in the one I downloaded from Emoze homepage. Is there suppose to be an update file somewhere?
Am stuck at step 3 which requires me to select either through PC or some clients which I need to install the clients detail before I could proceed.
Anyone successful in setting this up without using home pc?
WongLS, I will install later and keep you posted!
Any new info on this, I would love to be able to use emoze to access my Yahoo email without my PC.
Thanks
