Samsung Upstage Bundles Podcasting on Mobiles

Samsung Upstage will be bundled with VoiceIndigo’s advertising supported Podcasting service.

VoiceIndigo service is an online and offline mobile application that downloads podcasts to your phone. A client is also available on the desktop side to aggregate Podcast via RSS feed or off from iTunes

There are several ways to download/listen mobile podcasting. But not many that make it seamless. On Windows Mobile front, Microsoft is still in denial mode, its users have to use 3rd party vendor products to aggregate/playback Podcast contents.

VoiceIndigo’s distribution deal with Samsung puts it in a stronger position than most. Mobilecast is a similar service who also has several relationships with carriers such as Alltel and 3. However, they charge $3.99 per month for the service. VoiceIndigo is ad supported.

Two other services, Podlinez and Fonopods circumvent distribution and compatibility issues by delivering podcasts right over the phone.
