Widget Platform for Nokia S60 Available
I always fall for eye-candy user interface. And I am not alone…Over 1100 of you have downloaded all the skins & themes from our forums to date.
Nokia’s software engineers also hear you. Nokia’s Symbian-based S60 platform now has support for dashboard-like widgets thanks to the recent introduction of its “Web Run-Time” tools for web developer types. Nokia is claiming its S60 widgetry to be a first for a mobile platform, although Microsoft may be readying the same concept for Windows Mobile 6.
Just remember that you’re going to need Nokia’s S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 to get those new widgets.

According to what I know, the WidSet client is not only for S60 v3.2. It is also available for older phones, but mainly for those which sport 176×208 screen or QVGA screen. Anyway, the official site for WidSets (this term means Widget sets) is here.
Well, it seems like some Windows Mobile devices are on the supported list for the WidSet client. However, very few Windows Mobile devices have been tested and added to the support list though.
