HP offers WM6 upgrade for iPaq 2000 series
Kudos to HP, if it is also true for the US market. In an interview, Jeremy Werner of HP France announced that the company will offer Windows Mobile 6 upgrades to their iPaq 2000 series. He also added that the Ipaqs hw6815 and hw6915 are not upgradeable. Therefore, no upgrade for pda phones. For your information, the 2000 series will get Windows Mobile 6 Classic Edition. it would be nice to get some SOLID information about this.. right from the source… instead of through bob’s aunt’s son in law who hear from frank… the guy who delivers water to the hp office boardroom. honestly.
Not a believer: There is no conflict here. This article says only the RX2000 would be upgradable to WM6 not others.
Kudos! Maybe if you own a 200 series! But for those of us who bought the rw6800 series, zero kudos! It’s offensive that HP refuse to support their current product lineup by offering access to the latest technologies… that’s planned obsolescence
