More Details on Zune 2 Surfaced
Last Monday, Microsoft gathered Zune developers and few details of the upcoming Zune were leaked (starting with iLounge). Today Engadget got some pretty convincing material from a Zune source which shows a beta build of firmware v1.4 (shown as 2.1.4, perhaps as an internal designation).
Beside the ability to squirt your friend with DRM’ed songs, you’ll finally be able to download tracks using open WiFi hotspots and Microsoft points. No word about subscriptions, syncing, were mentioned. Also up to bat in the near future, further confirmation that we can expect Zune v2 with storage capacity comparable to largest iPod and a flash Zune (larger than iPod Nano) in the next month or so.
