Web-Based Tools to Download YouTube Videos
Mashable put together a very good list of Tool to download YouTube videos. We all agree Youtube video quality is far from good but I see the posts about download YouTube video are the most visited. You find here my favorites:
1. Zamzar is an online file format conversion site which can do a lot more than just converting YouTube videos to another format and downloading them to your hard drive, but it’s doing a great job so we had to include it here. Thoroughly tested by us and highly recommended. See the video of it in action here.
2. Vixy offers both downloading videos and converting them into DivX avi, mov, mp4, 3gp, or mp3 (for audio only) formats. The conversion works well enough, but sometimes results in slightly choppy playback.
3. Media-Convert can convert a file located on a webserver : Check URL mode, enter the file URL, select input and output format. It can also convert directly from Youtube and Google Video and adapt quality and size settings to your needs. To make a screenshot of any website (convert it into an image) : Check URL mode, enter the website URL and select an image output format.
