Safari & Firefox Memory Consumption. Speed Gain with a Cost!

I did a quick benchmark myself by having Firefox (with a dozen of Plug-ins enabled) and Safari up side by side. Open on both a Yahoo mail tab and SolSie.com tab. Below is my observation

Normally in programming speed comes as a trade off for RAM usage. But we hope this is just a Beta version and that Apple is trying to impress first time general user. Safari uses more memory then Firefox (well known for memory hog) in my test and far more as you open more tabs. See HERE!
