Sprint announced the RIM Blackberry 8830 worldphone will be release next month. This device sports both a CDMA and EVDO data for normal domestic usage and a SIM slot for GSM service—and unfortunately the antiquated GPRS data for oversea travels.

In addition, Sprint will offer an unlimited BlackBerry e-mail and web access in US, Canada and Mexico on CDMA, and GSM/GPRS carriers abroad where Sprint has applicable roaming agreements. You’ll still have to pay for your international calls with this plan; Sprint says pricing is from 59 cents to $4.99 per minute. The pcing for the device will be $199.99 with a two-year contract.
