5 July, 2007 Posted by As Free Utilities,Mobile Phone,Multimedia (1) Comment

Mobile Media Center is the cool way to enjoy the photos, songs and videos stored on your computer via a smart phone. Wherever you are, you can listen to your favorite tunes. Or trade photos and videos with your friends. It’s fast. It’s fun. And it’s free!

Orb or Slingbox can provide the same service, but why not using an open source MMC. After months of hard work, the MMC team have updated the software to Mobile Media Center Beta 2.5. With fresh new interface and more streamlined registration process.

  • Use your mobile to view pictures or videos and listen to music stored on your PC anytime, any place.
  • Blog pictures or videos you made with your phones camera to your PC and still be able to view them anytime, any place.
  • Blog ringtones, pictures or any media file from your phone to your PC.
  • Save your media files to your mobile phone to be able to view them offline.
  • Make slideshows out of all the pictures in one of your picture folders and send it to a friend.
  • Download and set your favorite songs as ringtones.
  • Preview your movies.

As any client server setup. You would need a server side app running on your PC (XP/Vista) sorry Macs! and a client side running on your Mobile device and you will use your browser to view the contents.

Visite Mobile Media Center for more!
