Google Sky gets its imagering material from six organizations: the Space Telescope Science Institute, the Digital Sky Survey Consortium, CalTech’s Palomar Observatory, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the United Kingdom Astronomy Technology Centre, and the Anglo-Australian Observatory.
Sky is available in 13 languages and can be downloaded from the Google Earth web site.
