Tip: Yahoo! Push Mail on Mobile Phone

Yahoo has a mobile app of its own called Yahoo Go 2.0. This one can be configured to check your Yahoo e-mail automatically. You can also check in on various Yahoo-owned services, too, like Flickr and maps. Since it tries to do so many things, it runs a little slower than Gmail for Mobile and works on even fewer cellphones.

However, if you are Yahoo! Mail user and you only need the push mail function from your Internet enabled phone. You can get notified when important mail hits your inbox  (Of course you might want to select only important emails to forward not all emails) - Just follow the below easy instructions -

  1. Sign up for text message alerts with customized filters, so that only the mail you want is sent to you by SMS. Get started now.
  2. Set-up a filter in Yahoo! Mail from your PC browser (Options, Filters, Add, Create your filter – select “Send an alert to my mobile device”

Of course you can always access to your inbox from your Mobile Web browser anytime at: http://m.yahoo.com; where you can quickly locate any email in your entire Yahoo! account with Mail search; Manage your inbox—read your mail, delete it, file it and more in real time.
