Newly Designed Ask.com for Desktop and Mobile browsing
The Web search engine Ask.com just got a new design that worth the try. First the front page is simple a la Google but refreshing with Web 2.0 feel. But the search itself is something that worth mentioning.
Ask.com addresses a common problem that users sometime can not enter the right search keywords what what they are looking for and just type a word in Google might result in pages of several non-related hits
As an example, if you type in a city (e.g. London). You will be presented with a clean “3-pane” screen.
The middle pane shows a traditional search result, but the left will show you option to narrow your search and the right pane shows images as well as Wikipedia for additional definition. So far there is no ads displayed on the screen yet, which really makes your search result enjoyable to read.

For Mobile users. Ask.com has its mobile portal too. You will be automatically directed to http://m.ask.com

You can perform traditional search, search images, local business listings, weather, get directions, Find area code, Currency conversion, etc..
In addition, if you are Bloglines (online RSS Reader) subscriber, you can read all your RSS feeds too. This is a great way to catch up your feeds on the go.
