To Apple Marketing: We have had enough!

Just like joke, marketing message is only great at the right dose and right time..Not over and over again as seen with the Apple never-ending "the I’m a Windows I’am a Mac ads"…Recently spotted at high profile blogs including News.com, Engadget.com, and PCMag.com, The ad displays in a traditional 720×90 pixel horizontal leaderboard at the top of the page as well as a large vertical rectangle on the right side of the page.

C’mon Apple, we salute your greatness, but be more creative and stop annoying us!

It is not funny anymore!

I found the ad incredibly funny and well done. Mostly because of PC’s acting skills. I don’t know why it annoys you – PC only says what current “Vista users” and “IT execs who use XP” are already saying.

I found it really funny. The best part was it being placed on C|Net’s Vista page. If you look past the whole PC/MAC debate and look at the ads for the comic value … they really are top notch and very funny.

I agree with Mark… they aren’t saying anything PC user’s aren’t already saying.

The Apple ads that annoy me are the “street confession” versions. Those are just plain dumb. But I stop the Tivo Fast Forward every time I see a new PC/MAC ad!

Well, you could always lodge a complaint with those sites about the use of ads that allow them to offer the content for free. However, solsie.com would also have to say no to ads revenue to avoid being hypocritical. And frankly as ads go, I’ll take an Apple ad over a ‘crazy frog’ ringtone ad any day.

I think they are hilarious. The Mac guy is not pushing people to buy a Mac, only to express how easy they are to use and how feature rich they are. He repeatedly explains this to PC, but PC is so paranoid he feels like he has to “one up” Mac (MSFT, anyone?). I think they are very well done and funny to boot. It’s great marketing, IMHO. Windows users really need to get a life if they think Apple is going to topple them from their #1 spot.

That’s not my point. What I meant is it is about time for a company with great creativity such Apple to move on with different marketing theme instead of repeating the same song over and over….
