Windows Live Messenger 9 Beta Available

Microsoft released a private beta of its Windows Live Messenger version 9. You can download the Beta at  Softpedia. A long list of enhancements was published before. Below are few of them:

Features:

  • Sign in to multiple locations at the same time (on more than one computer)
  • Use an animated display picture (GIF) – they have two already available, but you can browse for your own
  • Create your own custom signature sound (this is how you can annoy others when you sign-in or assign to a person when he/she signs-in)
  • Put a link in your personal status message

These features are very intuitive to set up. I am sure you can figure them out easily!

Thanks for this! Just checked a week ago if there was anything new in Messenger country, so I wouldn’t have checked the coming time. Downloading!

I read that this beta is being monitored, and if too many people are using it, it is taken offline! So it’s good to be aware of this and have quick access to the installer of the previous version, in case you can’t “get in” anymore with WLM 9 beta.
