Mozilla Labs Launches Weave

Mozilla Labs has quietly launched launch, Weave. a framework that allows developers to create application that work seamlessly across several platforms. As an illustration, think about your Firefox bookmarks will appear on any browser you log in or your whole environment such your personal Firefox plugins are on the browser of any computer, laptop or mobile phone you log in.

Today, free services such Foxmarks that allows user to centralize their bookmarks would require a central server as hub. Weave uses the similar infrastructure, Weave will be pushing all of your Firefox settings onto a Mozilla server that will let you access bookmarks, settings, passwords and so on from any device you use by simply logging into your account.

You will also be able to share specified bookmark folders with friends & family so you can expect some Social Networking apps will jump on Weave soon.
