We posted sometime ago the Ricavision remote control, as prototype but it is coming sooner than we expected. The Ricavision Wave100 remote control is different than what you have seen. This $299 ($274 pre-order) magic wand has an extended 17-meter range and is capable of controlling up to 20 audio-video boxes and Windows Vista PCs. Setup can be performed offline through a built-in infrared code library compiled from more than 1,500 brands. Other standard remote capabilities include learning function and macro programming. The Wave100 is Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP) enabled and comes with the companion wireless transceiver integrated right into the docking station

The coolest thing is it features Windows SideShow capability, from which, user can receive news and email on-the-fly, plus playback photos and music stored on PCs using a large 2.4-inch color screen. If it exploits full Sideshow capability, user might be able to check news, weather, calendar, contacts, RSS, etc. The Wave100 will be available for order in February 2008 time frame.
