Android Development is Thriving
Google next mobile phone platform was announced last 2007 with the release of the SDK (Software Development Kit). I was curious to look who are working on Android beside Google Labs folks, especially Android would require different hardware that are not available yet. In a recent interview HTC CEO Peter Chou who spoke to foreign investors in Taiwan confirmed that the company is getting ready to launch two or three new Android-based handsets in 2008.
I was amazed to find a plenitude of development sites that are very active and moving far ahead. Activities at popular sites such HelloAndroid, GotoAndroid are really busy as ever. Apps are being developed as we speak and many of them are already finished. I am wondering if 10$ million of the Android Developer Challenge. has something to do with it? nah…
