Cradlepoint Introduces Battery-powered "Personal WiFi Hotspot"
Cradlepoint just introduced the PHS300, a fully portable WiFi Hotspot from broadband-enabled cellular phones and modems. Take WiFi to a new level by ‘bringing it with you’.
When I am on the road, I use my Sprint Novatel Wireless Ovation U727, an EV-DO broadband-enabled cellular. The U727 helps me to go online almost everywhere at a decent speed. The only problem is it tethers to my laptop via USB, so it provides very limited use for the monthly subscription cost
The Cradlepoint PHS300 can unleash more possibilities of the wireless broadband card. Imagine you can have a small portable hotspot for a small group meeting, if you have an iPhone that suffers the Edge speed and even if you have a power black out at home. This will let you go online….
You can see the support matrix of the wireless cards.
