The iPhone has an application to playback natively YouTube videos. However, when you use Safari Web browser to visit a web site that contains embedded video, it does not show nor play back. With today Apple announcement of new firmware 1.1.3, this capability is still missing

I found this interesting bookmarklet on LifeHacker. The iTransmogrify bookmarklet for the iPhone or iPod touch converts embedded Flash content to mobile Safari-supported formats so that Flash media—like embedded YouTube videos and streaming MP3s. Video after the jump!
