NewsGator Best-of-Breed RSS Readers Now Free
NewsGator announced today the general availability of NetNewsWire 3.1, FeedDemon 2.6, and NewsGator Go! for Windows Mobile 2.0. The public beta of NewsGator Inbox 3.0 also began today.
The award-winning products for PC (FeedDemon), Mac (NetNewsWire), Microsoft Outlook (Inbox), and mobile (NewsGator Go!) deliver a
best-of-breed RSS reading experience that synchronizes through NewsGator’s online platform. All of the new product versions deliver a better user experience with the inclusion of significant performance, usability, and relevance enhancements.
NewsGator also announced that all of its client RSS reader products are now available free of charge and include free synchronization along with other services. Users can now enjoy the great features and performance of all of NewsGator’s Web, desktop and mobile readers for iPhone, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry (powered by FreeRange), all synchronized to provide the same view of their RSS content no matter when or where they read it.
NewsGator Go! for Windows Mobile lets you get your media on the go! With scheduled downloading and streaming media playing support, NewsGator Go! will bring great media to your Windows Mobile device.
NewsGator Go! provides you with an organized view of your NewsGator subscription list so you can quickly see what feeds have unread articles. With one hand you can then quickly drill into the feeds that look interesting to you.
In the NewsGator Go! post view you can quickly scan all the articles in a particular feed. From this view, you can quickly mark an article as read or clip an article. The UI will indicate if an article has been read or clipped. Marking an article as read will also mark that article as read in all NewsGator products, saving you from reading content more than once. Clipping an article is a great way to archive content that can later be accessible from any NewsGator application. Most importantly, if an article looks compelling, you can quickly view its full content.
NewsGator Go! provides many options that allow you to customize the mobile reading experience to your liking. There are a number of options you can set to control the look and feel of the user interface, to adjust the download properties and cache behavior, and toggle flight mode for offline reading.
