Predictions for Google’s 2008
The Google OS Blog (unofficial news & tips about Google) posted their prediction in 2008 for the ever expanded Google.
While they admit "Some of these items are obvious, others are mostly wishful thinking", it is still a good read to see what Google has on its plate for this year.
My favorite:
One word: sync. At the end of the year, Outlook and most mobile phones will be able to synchronize with Google Calendar and Gmail’s contacts. Google Docs will have plug-ins that let you edit documents in Microsoft Office or OpenOffice and save the changes online. Google Toolbar will integrate Browser Sync and start to synchronize your bookmarks, cookies, passwords and your browser’s history.
Personally, I am thinking Google ambition will go beyond the Internet. There is no mention on this list few initiatives such the Project Green Energy, the bid for 700MHz auction, etc…
