CorePlayer 1.2 is Set For Release Thursday Feb 21th
CorePlayer Mobile for Windows Mobile Professional, Standard and CorePlayer Pro for XP/Vista and Apple OS X are set to launch tomorrow Thursday 2/21 around 6PM PST 
The media player now officially supports over 450 mobile devices. The version 1.2 includes a massive amount of CORE changes to the platform. The changes include:
- YouTube UI flexibility
- UI additions
- CoreUI isolation, Core-C isolation (both allow for the player to be faster, more modular and flexible in going forward)
- More GPU support,
- CorePlayer v2 UI. the v2 interface changes for CorePlayer that really brings it to the next level for usability. (this now includes alpha channel support for the UI).
- With the new UI, the skin selection dialogue will not be available ( until 1.4 at the earliest). The developer team may add a submission process where the skin can be digitally signed so skin designers can sell their skins as well as being able to bundle certain functionality that would be unique to their skin alone.
So with 1.2 on tap for for tomorrow launch, another version be released a week later Thursday 2/28. The v1.2.1 will bring support officially for all platforms (Palm, PocketPC, Smartphone, Symbian s60, UIQ, Windows, OS X) on . This version will support all the advertised features:
- RTP/RTSP (rtcp for keep alive)
- UDP support
- YouTube Support
Amung over 2000+ other changes, fixes additions.
Please note that the palm OS is limited with multithreading support… so it will not get features like RTP/RTSP and YouTube.
The CorePlayer for Pro for desktop will deliver super fast playback without all the bloat. But with this release do not expect a full blown media player experience: No AC3, No MPEG-2, No DVD support, WMP, iTunes, TCMP, Zoom, etc. (CP Pro is more like Quicktime). The CorePlayer Pro UI has all of the mobile elements and a new UI will be released by mid summer.
The CorePlayer 1.2 will be available in our SolSie Store. There is no upgrade for existing user information available at this time.
