Firefox Beta 3 Released
Mozilla released the 3rd iteration of its Firefox version 3, which will be officially available within this quarter. There are numerous performance enhancements under cover of this new Beta release. The most obvious for us would be the OS aware default themes that you see below.
Ars technica has the first look review of this new version, they concluded:
I am extremely impressed with Firefox 3 beta 3. I’ve been using the nightly builds for quite some time now, and I’m convinced that Firefox 3 is very close to being ready for widespread adoption. There are still a number of minor issues, but I suspect that they will be resolved very soon. Firefox 3 delivers massive improvements over Firefox 2 in almost every conceivable way, particularly in the areas of performance and memory overhead.
Users who want to give beta 3 a try can download it from Mozilla’s web site. If you are not sure about compatibility with your current production desktop. I recommend to use the Portable App version that you can download HERE!
