When I thought this is another iPhone imitation, I was wrong, iFonz is an application to emulate the iPhone look on your Windows Mobile 5.0 / WM6 Pocket PC. But take a look at the below video. I was blown away!

Features after the jump!

- Set different background Portrait and Landscape.
- Set a lot of animation effects.
- Set infinite number of pages with 12 icons for each page.
- Set icons picture, description and shortcut command.
- Work in Portrait and in Landscape.
- Fly from and to another page with touch screen and with D-Pad. Installation:
- Copy the cab on cell.
- Start the cab installation.
- Install it where you want (Device or storage is same).
- After installation iFonz link is on Programs menu. Configuration:
- Start the application and watch it.
- After u can do all setting directly on iFonz.
- For set the general setting tap and hold on background.
- For set the button setting tap and hold on button.
- For minimize and view other information tap and hold on battery.

Excellent application. Except this is slow on a HTC Touch.
Otherwise this is exactly i will get if they can to make it speed up ;)

It is unclear in the video how the user switched from portrait to landscape. Was it via a hardware button?

@Melvyn: i don’t think he use Hardware button. As he uses a TYNT II when i turn his device, this one turn in landscape mode too.
So the application do it.

Oh dear…
Oh dear…

Its really not very good. In fact it IS another shabby iphone imitation. That offers very little at all.

There have been loads of very bad copies of iphone interfaces and this is another one that will be forgotten by next week. If you want something that looks like an iphone but is actually useful, try rltoday,

If you want something that is finger friendly then go for pointui

But if anyone is actually using this i’d be amazed. It is that bad :(

I tested Pointui since the first beta. This is a good application except for people has Touch serie. Like Kaiser,ELF, Cruise etc…
The principal thing i ask about the UI application is to get access all my applications in a minimum of way. HTC Launcher+Resco Today plug-in are the best combo i know for moment.
I will look about rlToday, but i think i already tested it ;)

Wow looks pretty good Solsie!
Lot of configuration though…

Trane February 23, 2008

That’s an HTC TyTN, so he has to have a button mapped to rotate the screen. Pulling the keyboard out would have the same effect.

The problem with these iPhone clones and stuff like pointui is that they are not an integrated suite of applications the way the iPhone system and normal Windows Mobile are. You end up with an application launcher that plays one way and then get dropped into an application which functions on a completely different model. It’s akin to only being able to walk on your feet indoors and having to walk on your hands as soon as you go out.

I have a Palm Centro and I can’t even get this to come up on my phone or get it on the fone.
Someone please help me. . .

Meechy, this is for the Windows Mobile OS, your Palm Centro runs Plam/OS
